Charles is an investor at Westbound. Prior to Westbound, Charles was a Partner at Founders Circle Capital, a venture capital fund with $1.4Bn in AUM. While at Founders Circle, Charles’ notable investments include Deel, DoorDash, Databricks, DocuSign, Finix, Nala, Robinhood, TrmLabs, Turo, and UiPath. Charles is an independent Board Member at Progeny – a mission-driven coffee company dedicated to uplifting Colombian coffee farmers by addressing systemic challenges in the coffee industry. He also serves on two nonprofit boards: New Creation Home, dedicated to supporting at-risk young mothers in East Palo Alto and IEA, a program providing education services and funding to support gifted children. Prior to his 12-year career in finance and investing, Charles was a member of the Teach For America Corps, where he taught middle school mathematics in his hometown (Memphis, TN). Charles earned his BA from Harvard University.
